Friends of Evan Sorce, PAC #23780 (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates evansorce.org. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, receive campaign communications, contribute, volunteer, attend events, or otherwise interact with the campaign.
We may collect your name, email, phone number, mailing address, communication preferences, volunteer and event information, contributions, and anything you submit through forms, surveys, or messages. We also collect contributor details required for campaign finance reporting, which may include occupation and employer. Information may come from campaign activities, contribution platforms, social media, voter-contact activities, and other lawful sources.
Our website and its providers may automatically collect IP addresses, browser and device details, operating systems, referring pages, pages viewed, links selected, approximate location, visit times, and diagnostic information through logs, cookies, analytics, pixels, or similar technologies.
We use information to communicate about the campaign, elections, policies, fundraising, events, and volunteer opportunities; coordinate campaign activities and voter participation; respond to requests and feedback; process contributions; improve our website and communications; prevent fraud and abuse; protect our systems; meet legal obligations; and carry out other lawful campaign activities. Other uses may require your consent or another lawful basis.
We may share information with providers working for us, including hosting, communications, voter-contact, campaign management, analytics, security, payment, accounting, and compliance services. We may also disclose information to meet legal requirements, respond to legal process, or protect rights, property, safety, and security.
We don’t routinely sell or provide personal information for independent commercial marketing. We may exchange or transfer campaign information for lawful political activities, committee reorganization or winding down, or campaign obligations, subject to applicable law and your rights. The mobile information restrictions below control over these general sharing provisions.
With your affirmative opt-in, we may send campaign texts, including updates, event notices, volunteer opportunities, voting reminders, and fundraising appeals. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help, or email info@evansorce.org. Consent is voluntary and isn’t a condition of contributing, volunteering, or supporting the campaign. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We won’t share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We won’t sell or transfer text messaging opt-in data or consent for third-party marketing or promotional purposes, including with other campaign data. Providers may process this information only as necessary to deliver or support our messaging program on our behalf. We may disclose it when required by law.
We may send campaign emails when you provide your email address or subscribe. Use the email’s unsubscribe link to stop promotional emails. We may still respond to requests or send necessary nonpromotional communications. We may retain records needed to honor opt-outs or meet legal obligations.
Our WordPress website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, performance, analytics, and spam prevention. Browser settings let you limit or delete cookies; some features may then work differently.
Outside websites, embedded services, and social platforms have their own terms and privacy practices, which we don’t control. Online contributions are processed by ActBlue. We don’t receive or retain complete payment-card information processed by ActBlue. Legally required contributor information may become public and may not be eligible for deletion or confidentiality.
We retain information as reasonably necessary for campaign operations, the purposes described here, legal and reporting obligations, security, and legal claims. We delete, anonymize, aggregate, or securely dispose of information no longer needed. Backups, archives, compliance records, and opt-out lists may require longer retention.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures. No electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Contact us to request access, correction, updating, or deletion of your information, withdraw consent, or change communication preferences. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights concerning sales, transfers, targeted advertising, or profiling. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect earlier lawful processing or processing supported by another lawful basis.
We respond as applicable law requires, may verify your identity solely to handle your request, and may retain information subject to legal, reporting, security, or recordkeeping exceptions. We honor legally required universal opt-out signals. Email unsubscribe links, text STOP, and browser cookie controls provide additional choices.
Our website and communications aren’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly solicit their personal information through the website. We handle minors’ and sensitive information as applicable law requires, including required consent and restrictions. We don’t request sensitive information unless reasonably necessary for a campaign purpose.
We may update this policy and its revision date. When required by law, we provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes affecting previously collected information. Please review this policy periodically.
